SyFy recently unleashed the Sharktopus upon the world, a grindhouse flick featuring a horrifying shark/octopus mutation. What’s not to love there?
The Sharktopus was created by the Navy to be used as their next super-weapon. But of course, it gets out of control and mass chaos ensues. The creature turns its fangs and tentacles on, what else, sexy blonde women in bikinis and innocents swimming in its waters. The unstoppable Sharktopus drags its victims off of beaches, bungee cords and boats – and not even machine guns can stop it. Ba ba buuuum!
So far, fans of B-grade flicks are loving Sharktopus, and why wouldn’t they, it’s a thriller about a Navy-engineered half-shark-half-octopus killing machine! This low-budget made-for-TV movie from Roger Corman won’t be winning any Oscars, but it has been winning the hearts of everyone that loves breasts, beasts and gore.
Did you watch the movie? If so, what did you think?
